Baby it’s cold outside…

Close up…, a photo by ruthiequilts on Flickr.

Here in Utah, we have a phenomenon called an “Inversion”. Basically, it means that the cold air gets trapped in the valley, with the warmer air up above it. It also means that pollution is caught in the cold air and we have fog, smog, and basically ugly air! Our lungs don’t like it much!

I hate to say that I look forward to the inversions though, but here are the pretty ice creations left behind…

10 degrees outside while I was taking these pictures! Brrrrrrr… I had to warm up my hands with coffee. Any excuse for a cup of Joe, right?! LOL! Thanks for visiting!
