I quilted these two lovely quilts for Sara…And the back…

I really enjoyed working on her Storm at Sea as well!I did a couple of specialty areas you can see here:

And last but not least, I received this awesome swap in the flickr “Triptych” swap on MQTS.Lots of awesome goodies, plus a beautiful triptych depicting the beauty of Utah! I’m working like a mad woman to get some quilts ready for UQSM (aka HMQS under new ownership due to the untimely passing of HMQS’s previous owner.)  2 more labels to make and 2 more quilts to block and then I can get back to my regularly scheduled program!

Missing in action, or Too busy to be believed?

September 16, 2016

Yes, I am still in the land of the living.  I told my friend Susie that I hadn’t been on the computer in about a week.

She’s said, “I think it’s been longer than that!”  Well, sure enough, it’s been almost 2 weeks!

I have been sewing sewing sewing…  Here are a few of the things I’ve been working on…

100_5352I quilted this quilt for my “Quilty Hugs” group that donates to local charities.  Emily with http://www.auntemsquilts.com/ has a group that meets with her once a month to work on these quilts…

100_5359This is Roy Quilt Guild members who have finished working on their mystery quilts.  (Okay, the 2 on the left are mine as I taught the mystery!)  I’ll post more next month as the tops come in…

100_5371And here’s my little quilt at the fair…  😉

100_5394This is Susie’s quilt that I quilted for her which she created using Emily’s pattern!  (I love that!)

100_5397I quilted this for a client!

100_5400And last, but not least is my “Going Coastal” quilty for the MQTS group on flickr.

It’s a pattern that I revamped a bit from a previous mini quilt that I designed.

I wanted something that represented Patrick’s State Park in California where we camped this summer.

Whew!

Thanks for stopping by!  I’ll try to be better next time!  😉

I can show it now…

I quilted this lovely quilt for one of the gals in my local guild…  She did a beautiful job on the applique!127_0816I really loved this one…  She got to show it at last quilt guild so now I can as well!

If you click on the picture you may be able to see the quilting a little bit better…

Thanks for visiting!

Another Happy Chemo Quilt Finished!

November 7, 2015

I just finished quilting this pretty little quilt for Happy Chemo…  The quilt top was made by my friend and her quilting group, Emily, of Aunt Em’s quilts…  Her blog can be found here:  http://emsscrapbag.blogspot.com/  She has a group that gets together and quilts one day a month.  I joined her last month making up a plethora of HST’s that she had precut.  Patsy and Leslie came with me…  So much fun!  I took this sandwich to get quilted for someone who is going through chemo.  I understand it can chill a person during their infusion, and what better than a happy little lap quilt to warm them up?127_0785Thanks for joining me!

Another Post on UQG’s Quilt Festival…

September 24, 2015

There really was too much fun going on at Quilt Fest to only post once!

127_0705The luncheons are always such fun!  Left to right:  Sheri, Pam (behind Sheri), Jane, Denise, Vivian, Patsy, and Diane!  We were the rowdy table…

127_0709Denise and Vivian…

127_0707Pam and Jane!

127_0736I made all of these fun things in Deonn’s class…  She can be found at http://www.quiltscapesquilting.com  This was in her “Snippets” class.  The kits were a.w.e.s.o.m.e.  Everything was already cut out so all we had to do is sew!  Thanks Deonn!!!  (Deonn and I met online in a flickr house swap.  I run into her at different quilting events around the valley.  She is so fun in person!)

And the last class I took was Emily’s “7 Sisters”!

127_0740Look what I got finished!  (Okay, I worked on it at home too, but still a quick finish!)

Emily is in one of my local guilds and she is such a talent!  She can be found at https://www.facebook.com/Aunt-Ems-Quilts-192205780855442/timeline

We have a lot of fabulous quilters around here…  Both Emily and Deonn have had the covers of different magazines!

And I suppose I should show you my Fair Challenge Quilt…

127_0727The challenge fabric is the white with all the colored circles…  Those colored circles were great inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by!  (p.s. Poukie is such a ham!)

A Couple of Goodies for RQG’s Raffle Basket…

August 10, 2015

Roy Quilt Guild is making a “bird” themed basket to raffle off for Utah Quilt Guild’s Quilt Festival in September…  These are a couple of little things I got to go in the basket.  I made 2 of the quilt tops several years ago for a swap and never finished the second one.  Finally getting around to it for the  basket!127_0622A little Hummingbird feeder and Quilt!  I think they’ll be cute in the basket…

Roy Bingo Blocks…

October 17, 2014

You may recall that last week I took the Bingo blocks that were made in the Roy Quilt Guild.

IMG_0655I cut them in half on the diagonal and added a white strip.IMG_0656Again, I cut them on the diagonal adding another white strip.

IMG_0660This week I got them all put together and added a white border and a wider border using Amy Butler fabric.  The Amy Butler fabric for the border and backing was donated by one

of our generous members, Karen D.  In addition, she provided the batting!  (And for good measure, she’s going to bind it for me…)

I got the top pieced together, pin basted, and proceeded to quilt it…

IMG_0768I have to say that I love the way this one came out!

I did leaves, swirls and flowers in the white sashing and border, and feathers in the colored squares and outer border.

IMG_0783This is going to be a grand prize at our Christmas party in December!  (Is it wrong that I want to win it?!  LOL!)

Thanks for stopping by…

I’ve been working on this lovely table topper made by one of my good friends, Sue! I’ll post a picture of the whole thing as soon as she receives it in the mail!!!

Secondly, while taking a walk we saw a gentleman skating on our local pond.  We decided to give it a go!

???????????????????????????????No, I have no fashion sense!!!  See how new my skates look?  There’s a reason for that!   LOL!

My DH had to get 15 years of dust off of his…  Thanks for skating by!

As many of you know, I belong to a group on Flickr called the “Epiphany Group”. We make quilts/blocks for flickr friends that are going through a hard time. In the past, I have pieced the blocks together… This time, I volunteered to quilt it. Our friend received this in Australia just yesterday! What an awesome group! I’ll try to dig some close ups out of the archive… LOL!
